Asia
Please intercede for us as we try to share the Gospel with as many people as possible. Most Thai people have still not heard the Good News the first time! Siam is still less than 1% Christian. We covet your prayers. Ask the Lord with us for more workers for the harvest. How about you?
Jim and Barb Arnold -
Chiang Mai, Thailand
My wife Barb served in Asia from 1984 – 86 with Youth With A Mission – ministering in Singapore, India, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines. My first experience came in 1986 as a Bible Courier with Open Doors in China. After we married, in 1987 we were invited to India to do evangelistic concerts and to preach the Gospel in South India. We concluded that trip by returning to China to bring in Bibles with Open Doors.
In October 1993, we were sent out by our beloved congregation, Heart Ministries, after planting and pastoring for 11 years. We arrived in PakChong to teach at a Bible School. Leah was 5, Raenan was 2, Wesley was 3 months. Barb has schooled all 6 of our children at home. All these years be have been blessed with a Missionary Visa through Thailand National Institute for Christ.

In 1996, I entered upon a 18 year journey as an Associate Instructor for Ethnos Asia, training leaders in Burma, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, China, the Philippines and Thailand. In 1998, we moved to Nakhon Pathom to lead a church plant. In 2001, we moved to Hua Hin to plant another church. At that time I taught at a Karen Bible School on the Thai-Burma border. We also carried on outreach at 5 university campuses.

In 2007, we moved to Chiang Mai for our older children to attend Grace International School. I began teaching at several local Bible Schools, doing street evangelism and prison ministry. Our sons, Judah, Isaiah and Titus were born in Thailand. In 2013 I taught Bible at Grace International School. Presently, I am teaching at Zoe Ministry School – prayerfully training potential leaders for the harvest, co-leading an evangelistic Bible Study at the Youth Prison and enjoying discipling younger brothers. I enjoy teaching part-time at the Ministerial Bible School in Khon Kaen – church leaders from Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Burma and Thailand. We are also seeking God about starting a new Bible School. His will be done.
Pat Yantara
Pat Yantara and his wife, Art, have been using their gift of evangelism to spread the word through Thailand. They have two beautiful daughters, their oldest Perth, and youngest, Pleg. With their spiritual anointing and passion they have dedicated their efforts to reaching their surrounding villages. Having established a rapport in the community they have been able to gain entrance and share local schools as well as the government hospital in the area. They also minister at orphanages, prisons, detention centers, and juvenile centers. In every place they enter, their singular focus is to teach others about Jesus Christ and show His love through example.
